  • DJ MARK ONE

    An accomplished DJ since 1991 playing Clubs, Bars, Festivals, Arenas, TV & Radio, and DJ/Producer for multi platinum selling band Texas. DJ Tutor since 2001, specialising in bespoke tuition programs to get the best results out of each student. Mark has been using DJing as a medium to develop confidence and self esteem in all ages and backgrounds.

    He will focus on achieving versatility in your mixing ability, music, hardware, software, and a bespoke promotions strategy to get students working in the environment. Previous students have gone on to work for BBC 1XTRA, The Hits Radio, Creamfields, Ibiza, many festivals and events around the world. He has even coached a deputy Prime minister.

    Turning his attention to the world of education, Mark is the curator of the GCSE curriculum in DJing for exam boards OCR, AQA, and Eduquas.

    Curator and examiner for the world's first accredited graded examinations with London College of Music (Grades 1,3, and 5) approved and regulated by Offqual.

    Guest lecturer at Royal Northern College of Music teaching the influence DJs have had within the music industry as part of the Pop Music degree course.

  • DR PENNY TRAYNER

    Dr Penny Trayner is a Chartered Paediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children and young people with acquired brain injury, a field that she has been working in for over 15 years. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Trayner is also an Honorary lecturer in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Manchester.

    In 2009 Dr Trayner founded a specialist neuropsychological rehabilitation service for children and young people with acquired brain injury, which serves patients and families from across the UK. Clinical Neuropsychology Services (CNS) has a particular interest in innovative approaches to service delivery.

    In July 2019 CNS partnered with internationally renowned and award-winning DJ Mark One to run the inaugural ‘Brain Boot Camp’, a non-residential camp for young brain injury survivors, which combined cognitive skills training and real-world application of the skills though DJ training sessions. The DJ training provided an opportunity for purposeful rehabilitation in activities that were meaningful and motivating to individuals. On the back of the success of this work the DJ for Rehabilitation programme was born.

    An experienced mentor/ teaching assistant who has worked across a range of settings in supporting children and young people with barriers to learning such as SEMH, Autism and special educational needs.

  • Matt Smith

    AKA Mattman, A UK DMC champion, UK ITF Champion, European Turntable Techniques Champion and Red Bull 3style finalist, Matt is a highly respected DJ and producer from London, renowned for his top tier turntable skills and remixing talents.

    With over 2 and a half decades of experience as a professional DJ, Matt uses his lightning-fast technical abilities to deftly mix, cut and re-edit his vast eclectic music library and record collection. His large library of re-edits (available monthly from patreon.com/djmatman) have recently been in heavy rotation worldwide, played by legends such as Jazzy Jeff (US), Mr Thing (UK), DJ Koco (Japan), and many more!

    Matt has many years of experience of providing dj lessons, both as a private tutor and in collaboration with institutions such as Leeds College of music, Leeds City Council, Hackney Council, Brunel University London, and Future DJs.

    Vijay has over 25 years of experience in DJing.

    As a tutor, Vijay is now working for schools, Music Hubs & Dj workshops helping deliver a DJ curriculum, set by The London College of Music Examination for students to gain a qualification in DJing.

    Vijay enjoys music production and live streaming on social media platforms outside of work.

  • Emma Ryalls

    Emma comes from a background of music and education. She is a trained primary school teacher as well as teaching DJ’ing and music to children and young people from the ages of 4-18.

    Emma is also a professional DJ, producer and broadcaster. She has performed at many of the UK festivals including Glastonbury, Creamfields, Camp Bestival and Wilderness and supported major acts such as Craig Charles on his Funk and Soul Club tour across the South West of the UK and Huey Morgan from BBC 6 Music. Her debut track ‘High On Music’ was released on DJ Spen’s label Quantize last April.

    Emma has her own monthly radio show on Brighton based station 1BTN where she is joined regularly by pioneering legends and rising stars from the world of music and she is also one of BBC Radio Wiltshire’s Friday Night Resident DJ’s. More recently, she has become a freelancer for the BBC and regularly broadcasts live radio shows as well as curating specialist shows where she promotes emerging artists and musicians from the local area.

    She was recently invited to do a ‘Trunk of Funk’ mix for Craig Charles BBC6 Saturday night show and is looking forward to her EP being released in the early summer on F*CLR that will feature an original track and a remix from North Street West.

    Ollie has been a professional DJ for the last 10 year. Touring the UK and Europe with super brands like Pure and Ministry Of Sound.

    As a tutor, Ollie is now working for schools, Music Hubs & Dj workshops helping deliver a DJ curriculum, set by The London College of Music Examination for students to gain a qualification in DJing. He was one of the first tutors to deliver this course online. Ollie has lots of experience teaching teens and young adults from a traumatic background and young offenders.

    Maggie specialises in teaching learners to pass the London College of Music Graded DJ examinations both remotely and face to face, with experience in delivering successful remote DJ courses for Future DJs & Innovate UK.

  • Pete Rowland (Disorda)

    Pete Rowland (Disorda) has been DJing since the age of 14, from early house parties and youth clubs; bars, clubs and festivals. An avid vinyl collector who also runs an online record store and label, presents a radio show, and generally lives for music.

    Pete has a huge passion for spreading the knowledge and skills he’s gained over the last 30 years to help others.

    Having set up his own business teaching DJ lessons for all ages, both digitally and from vinyl, he also facilitates workshops for Hampshire council and Winchester University, works as a Youth Leader managing digital music projects, and hosts a weekly open decks night in a bar he’s been resident at for many years.

  • Ian Stanley

    Ian has been involved in DJing and Music Production for 28 years. 

    In that time, he has worked as a DJ, rapper, promoter, radio host, producer and award-winning label owner.

    He has performed up and down the UK, both as a headline and supporting acts including Plump DJs, Roll Deep, Shut Up and Dance, and recorded with artists such as Skinny Man and Daddy Freddy. 

    Ian has a PGCE and 15 years teaching experience in Primary, Secondary and Further Education. He has worked with students from diverse backgrounds including those with special educational needs.

    In 2019 he opened Creative DJ School to offer tuition for the general public, schools, and charities.

    Many of Ian’s past students have developed careers in the music industry, performing at large festivals and releasing music on independent record labels.
Through his teaching, Ian aims to raise confidence and improve wellbeing for all people, by unlocking creative potential and promoting the enjoyment of mixing music.

  • Liam Reynolds

    Liam, who’s artist name is Lekota started DJing at the age of 13 and has been teaching the art for over 5 years. Liam is not only an instructor but also a professional DJ, actively releasing music on major record labels and pursuing his dream to become a top level, touring DJ.

    Liam has built my name from the ground up, starting from student events in Liverpool to playing headline shows at 2000+ capacity venues. He has shared stages with elite DJs like Joel Corry, Micheal Bibi, Danny Howard, Hannah Wants, DJ EZ, and many more. He has performed at renowned festivals like Defected Croatia, Parklife and Sundown Festival. Most recently he supported Joel Corry on his past 2 U.K & Ireland tours & Ibiza Rocks residency and played a closing set in the main room at Ministry of Sound, in London.
