REHABILITATION THROUGH THE POWER OF MUSIC.

HOW CAN DJING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION HELP WITH REHABILITATON?

The overall activity of DJing provides an ideal rehabilitation activity as it targets a number of skills in a functional manner that is also fun, accessible for most levels of ability and intrinsically motivating for many young people.

Not only does it practically target the skills mentioned above, it also gives a reason for using other compensatory strategies, such as use of diaries, planners and checklists and communication devices.

DJing also is a source of positive esteem for many young people and allows them to develop confidence in a skill that supports them to connect socially with others.
